The sixth Principle of the Arya Samaj :

The Primary object of the samaj is to benefit the whole world, viz by improving the physical, spiritual and social conditions of mankind.

Sub Topics :

(i) Physical improvement

1. Preserving one’s physical health through well balanced Vegetarian diet.
2. Yogic exercises
3. Prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases.

(ii) Spiritual Improvement

1. The Vedas and spirituality
2. The importance of spiritual improvement according to the Vedas.

(iii) Improving the social conditions of mankind

1. Campaign against Alcoholism and Gambling
2. Domestic Violence and Divorce
3. Economic Empowerment and poverty alleviation

Objective

To foster the growth and development of individuals through the inculcation of Vedic principles and values and to ennoble all humanity.

You are requested to forward your synopsis of about three hundred words on any of the topics mentioned above by 31st of July 2008 to the Chairperson of the Academic Committee, Dr. Oudaye Narain Gangoo, 1, Maharshi Dayanand Street, Port Louis.
