About Arya Sabha Mauritius

The Arya Samaj movement got underway in Mauritius during the first decade of the 20th century. Established in 1911, the Arya Paropkarini Sabha was officially registered in 1913. Over the years, the movement has blossomed into the modern-day Arya Sabha Mauritius, which is recognised internationally.

Arya Sabha Mauritius has endeavoured to uphold the principles and ideals set forth by Maharishi Dayanand and his reformist movement. Some of the more notable ideals are women parity and free access to education.
